Graduating from Monash University in 2002, I am a fully qualified GP, and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. 
I certified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2012, and recertified in 2022.
Whilst having my own babies, I realised that medical support of breastfeeding mothers could be lacking. I was determined to know more about breastfeeding so I could help other mothers to achieve their breastfeeding goals. Initially I became involved with the Australian Breastfeeding Association, going on to become my local Group Leader and also a Certified Breastfeeding Counsellor (CertIV). Therefore my breastfeeding information is consistent with current advice from the ABA which supports mothers in a variety of ways here in Australia.
